Terms of Service

The Service

Waycast lets you save a trip once and then sends you weather briefings timed to your route and schedule. Briefings are generated from third-party forecast data and automated models and are provided for general informational purposes only.

Not a safety or emergency service

Waycast is not a substitute for official warnings, professional advice or your own judgment. Weather forecasts are inherently uncertain, and briefings may be delayed, incomplete or inaccurate. Do not rely on Waycast for decisions where a missed or wrong forecast could threaten health, safety or property. Always follow official emergency guidance and use common sense.

Accounts

You must provide accurate information when you register and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service.

Plans and billing

The free plan is available at no cost with the limits described on our pricing page. Pro is a paid subscription billed through Stripe (web) or Apple / RevenueCat (iOS). Subscriptions renew automatically for the same term unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law or the applicable app store's policy, payments are non-refundable. We may change prices with reasonable notice.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• break the law or infringe others' rights while using the Service;
• access the Service by automated means, scrape it, or exceed reasonable usage limits;
• interfere with, disrupt or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure;
• resell or redistribute the Service without our permission.

Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design and content, is owned by Waycast and its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your personal use in accordance with these Terms. The trip data you enter remains yours.

Third-party data

Forecasts come from Open-Meteo, routing from Google, and severe-weather warnings from official government feeds. Your use of the Service is also subject to those providers' terms, and we are not responsible for the accuracy or availability of their data.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that briefings will be accurate.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Waycast will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from reliance on a briefing or forecast. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service. On termination, the rights granted to you end.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
